Leo Clubs are a youth organization of Lions Clubs International.

The Word LEO stands for Leadership, Experience, Opportunity.

•Leadership: Leo members acquire skills as project organizers and motivators of their peers.

•Experience: They discover how teamwork and cooperation can bring about change in their community and the world.

•Opportunity: Leos develop positive character traits and receive recognition for their contributions.

With this motive, several youths of Shamli grouped together and filed an application on 24th November, 2010 to M.J.F. Lion Dr. Ram Kumar Gupta (District Governer, (District 321-C1) 2010-2011) to form the Omega Leo Club in Shamli. This application was approved by the Lions Club International.

LEO CLUB, Shamli was installed by M.J.F. Lion Alok Bhatnagar (District Governer, (Distt- 321-C1) 2011-2012) on 24 February, 2011 in well organized ceremony which was well attended by Lions, Lionesses & Leos.
