Kathmandu Everest Leo Club is social and youth development platform which is registered in Lions Club International in 2nd April 2014. This club is project club of Lions Club of Kathmandu Everest.
Lions Clubs International is the world’s premier community service organization, with 1.4 million members. Also Known the world over as the Largest Democratic Social organization, it boasts of more than 48,000 Lions Clubs in approximately 206 countries. Leo Clubs are part of the Lions International network. Regarded as the Youth Project of the Lions, Leos also have their own network of over 160,000 young people in 150 plus countries. There are over 7,400 Leo clubs as of date. These young people are proud to serve their communities and call themselves Leos. These young community leaders are friendly, active and dedicated to creating new and exciting opportunities by participating in their Leo clubs. We have over a 1593 youths in 35 clubs today in our District. Leo club of Kathmandu Everest is also part of this group. we have 31 members in our club. we are helping on lions event and doing awareness program in our city !!

The LEO club motto is:
- Leadership - LEOs develop skills as organizers, time managers and motivators of their peers.
- Experience - LEOs learn the importance of cooperation through community service.
- Opportunity - Membership provides young people with a chance to excel, to develop positive character traits, and to receive recognition for their contributions to the community.
Today, the LEO Club Program is stronger than ever. Community service remains the cornerstone of the program. Like their Lion counterparts, LEO club members enjoy serving their neighbors and watching positive results unfold.
Our Objectives:
- To create and foster a spirit of understanding among the people the world.
- To promote the principles of good governance and good citizenship.
- To take an active interest in the civic, cultural, social and moral welfare of the community.
- To unite the clubs in the bonds of friendship, good fellowship and mutual understanding.
- To provide the forum for the open discussion of all matters of public interest; provided however that partisan politics and sectarian religion shall not be debated by club members.
- To encourage service minded people to serve their community without personal financial reward and to encourage efficiency and promote high ethical standards in commerce, industry, professions public works and private endeavors.
Main activities of Kathmandu Everest
Everest share to a great extent, similar activities, which can be categorized into the following:
- Fundraising: Everest plan, organize and execute fundraising activities in order to raise money for a perceived project/s.
- Community Care: Everest dedicate a significant time and effort to serving a segment of the underprivileged in their community.
- Main Club Project: Everest annually plans, organizes and executes a main project directed at a specific cause and/or developmental need.
- International Liaisons: Everest members connect with LEOs around the world, throughout global conferences, forums, workshops and events, during which, Everest share their experiences and establish acquaintances and friendships in different countries of the world.
