We serve is our motto. Our ideas are to serve promptly anyone, anytime, any where. Leoism functions efficiently because Leo Clubs have a system of leadership and fiscal program that are designed for prompt and decisive action. The international organization, district officers and local clubs have administrative and service committees that are provided with budgetary resources to implement their projects with flexibility. More importantly, our lion leaders are encouraged to develop the foresight to plan as will as the wisdom to act when opportunities to serve arise, unexpectedly or other wise.

An active Leo will be a good Lion. So goes the saying. But it is also the duty of every Leo to further his/her education about Leoism and to seek new information about the working of Lions Clubs throughout the world.

How long has it been since you last read the literature materials in your membership kit? Do you remember when and by whom Lions clubs international was founded? When was the last time you looked over our constitution and bylaws? Do you know what Leo code of ethics is? And what are the Leos objectives?

Be aware of your duties as a member and realize that you have responsibilities as a sponsor of new members. Review the duties of the office you hold and the objectives and functions of the committees you belong to.

Be knowledgeable of Leos current events because as another saying tells us. An informed Leo is a better Leo.

Leadership: Leo members acquire skills as project organizers and motivator of there peers.

Experience: They discover how teamwork and cooperation can bring about change in their community and the world.

Opportunity: Leos develop positive character traits and receive recognition for their contributions.

 The very foundation of our international association is club members working in harmony in order to serve community and human needs. This is a necessary ingredient for the success of any club and this fellowship, this camaraderie so that the new member feels welcome and past of the club.

Leo members will remember interested in the Leo club as long as it is organized, fun keeps members involved and continues to provide valuable community service. Observant Leo leaders can help prevent the departure of Leo members.
