Lions Clubs serve youth. Our community projects often support local children and schools through scholarships, recreation and mentoring. Internationally, we offer many programs, including the Peace Poster Contest, Youth Camps and Exchange and Lions Quest.

Our Leo Program provides the youth of the world with an opportunity for personal development through volunteering. There are approximately 150,000 Leos and 6,000 Leo clubs in more than 138 countries worldwide.

We are part of an international family of young men and women, ages 12-18, dedicated to making a positive impact in our community and world. Leadership, experience, opportunity. This is the Leo motto. We are devoted young people who realize the power of action who grows as an individual and a leader.

The Rockingham County Leos Club was officially charted 02/23/2024.  We are sponsored by the Mayodan Lions Club.  Our areas of service are Hunger (Feed the Hunger; Food Pantries; Soup Kitchen), Vision (Camp Dogwood; Blindness; Eye Examinations; Glasses), Diabetes (Dimes for Diabetes; Education), Childhood Cancer, The Environment (Planting Trees; Cleaning Trails; Picking up Trash), Humanitarian Relief (Provide supplies to nursing homes, schools, etc), Literacy and helping our local community. We spread kindness.
