Lion cubs lets loose

Worle Lions Club now has a new Leos section.

The initiative was launched at Priory Community School in Queensway when 12 charter members celebrated their initiation. The new club is for young people aged 12 to 18.

Priory pupils Fiona Bell and Jemmie Hopkins have been elected to serve as the first president and secretary of the new club.

The school’s Charlotte Cooper will serve as vice-president and Ashley Locker will take on the role of treasurer.

Fiona said: “We are excited to give back to our community.

“Through this important work we plan to make a difference in the local area.”

The Priory Leos Club will meet at the Worle school on alternate Wednesdays from 3pm as part of period six provision.

Colin Wythes, of Worle Lions Club, is the current Leo Club advisor.
