Books, Stationeries and Sports Materials Distribution
Banepa Leo Club had collected some books from different organisation & its Leo members. We are going to distribute them along with some stationeries & sports materials to Jogeshwor Secondary School, Mahadevtar, Kavre on 25th November 2012.
Prayas Sangitko Saath
Leo Club of Banepa organized Musical Event "Prayas Sangitko Saath"on 14th October, 2012 Sunday at Panchakanya Banquet, Banepa with the Chief Guest Lion Biju Bajracharya MJF, District Governor, Lions District 325 A2, Guest Lion Uttam Raj Kayastha PMJF, District Governor, Lions District 325 A1,Guest Leo Mandip Maharjan, Leo Multiple District President, Guest Lion Bishwo Ram Prajapati President, Lions Club of Kabhre Banepa, Guest Lion Purna Palanchoke, Club Advisor, Guest Lion Raju Sarkar, PDP & Guest Mr. Mahesh Basnet President, Federation of Journalists, Kavre. The Program was start from 2:00 PM to 6:00PM by the presence about 250 participants. This Program was held to help the Student of Rural Area of Nepal by distributing the Books, Sport materials etc. The Program was perform by the Antara Musical Group & the Guest Artists Ram Bhakta & Itu Jojiju with Manoj Raj Siwakoti.
The program was started by M.C. Manoj K.C. & Bhumika Dhakal. The Antara Musical Group performed their 3 songs, then Chief Guest Lion Biju Bajracharya MJF, District Governor, Lions District 325 A2 & Guest Lion Uttam Raj Kayastha PMJF, District Governor, Lions District 325 A1 jointly formally inaggurated the Musical Show. Again the Antara Musical Group continue their performance. Then the guest Artist Manoj Raj Siwakoti performed his numbers followed the Jojiju couple, Ram Bhakta & Itu Jojiju performed their outstanding musical performance Again Manoj Raj Siwakoti performed his show.
Finally the show was ended with the distribution of Certificates of Appreciation & token of Love to all the Artists, supporters and media supporters. then the artists and the volunteers as well as the guests were taken to have a dinner.
Blood Donation Program
Leo Club of Banepa organized Blood Donation Program on 29th September, 2012 Saturday, 11:00 AM onwards with the help of Red Cross Kavre. The program was conducted with presence of Lion Bishwo Ram Prajapati, President, Lions Club of Kabhre Banepa and Lion Purpa Palanchoke, Club Advisor. Leo Rajendra Konga coordinated the program. 29 donors donated blood including Leo Members and others persons. The donors were provided with the food packs (Banana, Nimki, Egg e.t.c.) and Real fruit juice. Finally, the donors were distributed with the Certificates.
Solid Waste Management Awareness
Leo Club of Banepa, Step for Miles along With GPA – Nepal jointly organized the Solid Waste Management Awareness on 21st September, 2012 at Red Cross Hall, Banepa. Lion Bishwo Ram Prajapati, President of Lions Club of Kabhre Banepa was the chief guest of the program along the Guests Shree Ram Ghimire, GPA and Lila Humagain, Scholarship Program Co-ordinator of Love Green Nepal on this program. There were around 80 participants especially from Panchkhal Locality,Kavre. The Master of Ceremony, Leo Pushpa Palanchoke called the Dias and at the second phase the awareness program was flourished by Shree Ram Ghimire, GPA, He described the present status of Environment and how to manage solid wastes. Another resource person Ananda Shova gave her information on the Earthworm Agriculture or Breeding and its importance and usage. The participants were provided with the stationeries and Lunch pack.
Father’s Day Celebration
Leo Club of Banepa and Sanjivan Revival, Kathmandu organized Father’s Day Celebration program on 17th August 2012, Friday 9:00 AM-2:00 PM. There were 30 old age people from Old Age Home from Bihar and Old Age Home from Church & 15 orphans children. The program was initiated with the Volunteers working for preparing lunch. There were 20 volunteers from Kathmandu and Leo Club of Banepa. The program move forward with the arrival of old age people at Bihar followed by the interaction between the old age people and volunteers. Then, they are made to eat lunch followed by the formal program. Mr. Bikesh Shrestha, President of Sanjivan Revival, Kathmandu, Ram Krishna Kachhibhoya, Social Worker, Rajendra Joshi, Ex. Teacher from Azad H.S.S. Dinalal Siku, Nepal Heart Association, Bhante from the Bihar had made their presence as the guest speaker. The program had made the dignitaries of the program to express their speech by the MC Leo Pushpa Palanchoke. They were respected by the “Khadas” and “Nepali Topees” by the children children from Metta Center. The old age people were also also respected by “Khadas”. The kids from Orchid International Academy showed their dance to the guest and old age people as well as the participants. The volunteers team from the Kathmandu also sang songs for them. Finally the formal program was ended with the vote of thanks by Mrs. Jaya Shilpakar, Member of Sanjivan Revival, Kathmandu.
The interaction was held again between the old people and the volunteers. At last the participants were made to have lunch and the program was dismissed.

Painting Zebra Crossing @ Bandha
Leo Club of Banepa and Social Contributors, Kavre jointly coordinated “Painting Zebra Crossing @ Bandh” on 9th April, 2012. We as a part of socially responsible people decided to paint Zebra Crossing and went to District Traffic Office, Banepa and consult with them. They showed positive response toward us and we, some of the Leos and Social Contributors collected some fund to buy paints, brushes and other stuffs.
We firstly washed the road with plenty of water since it was muddy. Then we let it to be dry. We cleaned with the piece of cloth, and make a mark as per the measurement. We then started painting with enamel on the road. During the painting so many publics showed their participation on this program. Our charted president, Lion Bidhan Joshi also attended it and painted it too. Traffic Officers Dhan Bdr. Shrestha, Anjan Koirala, Umesh Sir had also shown their active participation on that program. We repainted the portions and finally we made blocks for the certain time and let it open after 6:00 PM.
Finally program ended with the vote of thanks from Leo Suraj Shrestha to all the participants, publics and traffic officers.
Punyamata River Cleaning Campaign
Leo Club of Banepa and Social Contributors, Kavre jointly coordinated Punyamata River cleaning Campaign. We had approximately cleaned about 300-400 meters of River collecting the wastes in the river, cleaned the bushes on the sides of the river, opened the closed pores, burned the dry wastes immediately and collected the wet waste in some points so as to burn it later. We collected the glasses piece wastes separately. Local people had also participated it along with the Leo Members and Social Contributors members. All the participants were provided with hand gloves and Masks. Leo Suraj Shrestha sponsored Gloves and Leo Rajesh Shrestha sponsored masks.
We collected the wastes inside the rivers by pulling it by the long hooks and stir the river with a long rods so as to keep the river clean. We finished it after we worked for 6 hours from 10:00 AM. We ended the program promising to continue it and we have planned to run a huge campaign to end the use of plastics as we also find a huge mass of waste is plastic that day too. Program ended with the vote of thanks from Leo Suraj Shrestha.
Rally on WORLD AIDS DAY
The Rally was jointly organized by Leo Club of Banepa with the collaboration of Lions Club of Kabhre, District AIDS Coordination Committee, We had distributed play cards to the students & the participants of the Rally. Rally was started with the President of District AIDS Coordination Committee, President of Red Cross, Kavre, & many more representatives from Lions Club of Kavre, Banepa, Red Cross, District AIDS Coordination Committee, District Health Office, District Education Office, District Police Office, Nepal Journalist Association, Sakriya Plus, Family Planning, Dhulikhel Hospital, Sheer Memerial Hospital, NAP, Siddhi Smriti, Rastriya Banijya Bank, World Vision Bkt, and many other health related organization.Rally goes around the Panauti valley.We kept on distributing Condoms on the street through out the Rally.
Finally the rally gathered on the Indreswor Temple. Some of the persons are called to deliver speech. Biscuits ware distributed to all the participants.
