Third Quarter (January – March 2014) –

**Activity 1 “Lions Retreat” CMOLC attended and participated in our parent club/ Cape Mesurado Lions Club retreat that was held on March 1, 2014 to  develop ways to strengthen members participation in club functions. It was a very helpful to our club because we have instituted measures like sending text messages to members on a daily basis which has greatly enhanced members’ involvement in club functions.

**Activity 2 “Charity Basketball Tournament” was held on March 7, 2014 to create awareness about our Leo’s club existence and to raise funds for Leo projects. Six high schools males and females basketball team participated in the tournament.

**Activity 3 “Donation and Clean –up Campaign at Mother Victoria Orphanage” was held on March 29, 2014 in New Matadi. Mother Victoria owns and manages an Orphanage home of 50 orphans, a school and a church. We donated food and non food items; a bag of rice, one cartoon of bath soap, powder/washing soap, rexoguard and clora. Fifty (50) orphans benefited from the project. The clean-up campaign was done by both Leos and the orphans. We clean the classrooms from grade 1-6 and climax the project with games amongst Leos and orphans. Amount spent during this project is US$150 and total Leos hours is 5. This project was published in the news paper on March 30, 2014  

  

Second Quarter (October – December 2013) – (Social Service Project: Donation of food items and toiletries e.t.c. implemented on December 24, 2013. For the project “Time for the blind”, we distributed rice, soap, toothpaste etc. to the visual impaired individual at every major intersection. Beginning from the capitol bye-pass to Benson Street, Johnson Street and Vai Town we distributed the above listed items to even the disable in wheel chairs. Over 30 blind and 10 disable individuals 50 less fortunate of the fiamah community were beneficiaries. The total budget for the project is United States $130.

 

First Quarter (July –September 2013) – (Social Service Project: Donation of academic materials; copybooks, pencils and erasers etc. to the Life Foundation School on October 19, 2013. Students from nursery (K-1) class to the six grade class benefited from this project. A total number of 200 students benefit from this project. The total budget for the project is United States $150.
