LEO CLUB HISTORY AND OBJECTIVES
In 1957, the Glenside lions club from the US state of Pennsylvania sponsored the world’s first Leo club the – Abington High school Leo Club- with 35 students. A decade later ,Lions Clubs International(LCI) adopted the Leo Clubs as an official Program of the association.
The objective of Leo Clubs is “…to provide the youth of the world with an opportunity for the development and contribution, individually and collectively, as responsible member of the local,national and international community …”
Leo clubs members around the world fulfill this objectives every day .Leo club activity and project enhance the the community and help young people develop and practice leadership and social skills. Leo club involvement can instill in young people lifetime commitement to helping others.

PROMOTION OF LEO CLUBS
To promote a Leo Club,Submit news releases to the Local news paper or radio .Encourage the Leo members create flyers for their events and post them in the community.
TEAM BUILDING
Successful Leo Clubs need strong team members. Leo officer should incourage fellow leos to accept the leadership roles to help make the club stronger. Building a leo team begins with :
- Sharing additional ideas & suggestions.
- Creating committees and assigning specific tasks.
- Nominating Leos and the club for the Lions club international awards when eligible.
- Celebrating successful Leo Clubs projects.
- Increasing the prestige of club through local publicity.
