 WHAT WE HAVE ACCOMPLISHED

PROJECTS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2018/2019

Holiday Sweet Treat - December 22, 2018

The main goal of this fundraiser was to sell fifty (50) goodie bags in light of the Christmas season to close 2018 on a successful note. This will allow us to be in a better financial position to execute fundraisers and projects for the upcoming year of 2019. Despite the delayed start and minor setback, the fundraiser was quite successful. This is because we were sold out before the proposed closing time and we raised more than the target set out. This was also done without using any money from Leo’s Club of Georgetown Stabroek treasury, thanks to our strong members’ support.

Back to School Party August 24, 2018

The main goal of this fundraiser was initially to accumulate five hundred thousand at the end of the event to secure the club’s account so as to ensure we’re in a suited financial position to execute even larger projects of substance. However, there were some setbacks at the early stages of planning, where the target reduced to a significant amount. Nonetheless, moving forward, those short comings will be corrected in the mere future. Despite the few challenges, the fundraising committee was able to rise above. We received assistance from members who played their role in bartending, cooking and providing security which in turn resulted in a successful and an enjoyable event. Those who supported the event provided satisfactory reviews about entertainment, security & a warm environment for all.
