The members of the Pickerington Leo Club are serious about Service! Here are just a few of the projects we have accomplished.
February 2019: The Pickerington Leo Club made home-made lasagna for the residents of PIckfair Square Senior Apartments. They shared a meal with the residents and then played some games wtih them.
April 2018: The Pickerington Leo Club organized the 4th Annual Pickerington PAWS 5K to support Pilot Dogs for the Blind. This race raised $4,500 for the organization!
January 2017: Leos helped at the Community Collection Drive on January 28 which benefited Volunteers of America. Leos helped to collect and pack items into the 25-foot truck. In all, we collected about $15,000 worth of items for VOA.
June 2016: Pickerington Leo Club donates $2,500 to Ohio Lions Pilot Dogs for the Blind!
November 2015: Leos packed 135 food boxes at the Byron Saunders Foundation for needy families at Thanksgiving.
December 2014: Leos helped to brighten the holidays for the residents of Pickfair Square Apartments by baking cookies for them and then helping them decorate them. Leos also played bingo with the residents, most of whom won multiple prizes.
May 2014: Leos raise money for Fairfield County Big Brothers - Big Sisters by forming a bowling team at the BB-BS Bowl for Kids' Sake at Rule (3).
November 2013: Leos collect hundreds of food items for the Pickerington Food Pantry to help the needy at Thanksgiving.
November 2013: Leos collected over 1,000 used books for Libraries for Liberia.
April 2013: Leos preparing boxes to collect ballcaps at school. They gathered over 200 ballcaps for a volunteer eyecare group that goes to Third World countries to provide free eyecare for people who would not have access otherwise. They give out ballcaps to everyone they care for to help shield their eyes from the sun.
