Leo Club Officer Roles

Leo Club Presidents will preside at all club meetings. Presidents will use basic parliamentary procedures as a tool to conduct effective, orderly meetings. He or she will advise other club officers concerning their responsibilities and develop club members into a successful team. He or she will work with the vice president and club advisor to develop a yearly plan of club meetings and programs.

Leo Club Vice Presidents assists the president and assume the president's duties if he or she is absent on meeting date. He or she will take over as president if the current one resigns or leaves the club.  

Leo Club Secretaries maintain records of officers, committee appointments, members, attendance and service activities and update club information, membership records and service activity reports in MyLCI. He or she will keep an accurate, current roll of all club members. The secretary will call the roll and check attendance at each meeting.  He or she will keep complete and accurate minutes of all meetings. At each meeting, read minutes of the previous meeting.  

Leo Club Treasurers receive and deposit all club money, disburse club funds when authorized by the Leo club board of directors and provide a monthly financial statement to the Leo club board of directors. He or she will keep accurate, up-to-date records of all club funds. This includes receipts and expenditures, and the balance  on hand. He or she will pay bills as approved by the club and report the financial condition at each meeting or as requested by the President.

Leo Club Chaplains will lead a devotion and prayer at the beginning of each monethly meeting. He or she will provide spiritual care, guidance, and support to members. He or she will offer a presence and reminder that members are not alone, and their focus is on the well-being of the individual regardless of their religious or spiritual beliefs. He or she will be an encourager and a source of pastoral support during difficult times.
